A thing about life is that no matter how hard you try to understand it, you can never fully make sense of it.

Since the start of humankind, all these great philosophers and writers have been obsessed with defining the meaning of life. They wrote books on ‘what is life, what is the purpose of life, what is your purpose in life and not to mention creating a cult following of figuring out life.’

It was almost like if you didn’t do enough, you wasted your life. You made your life useless if you didn’t achieve all your goals.

This idea has been engraved in our minds so deeply that the minute we make our first mistake on our way to achieving success, we start judging ourselves. The second we take a break, the quiet voice starts whispering in our ears ‘Why are you wasting your time?’

And it often makes me question, Is life only about external milestones? The more milestones we have, the more we are using our lives.

And if that is the case then,

There were people before you and there will be people after you. You are just a normal person present in a world of billions of normal people like you who like to believe they are important.

But are you that important?

Imagine if you die today, will the world stop? No, right? People who love you will…
