Great question Farzeen. I can totally relate to your situation. Now, coming to how to romanticize life when you are in a toxic environment, I would say first you must acknowledge the fact that life, as I said, is not fairytale to all. So, in this case, it is not for you but you have the power to make it your kinda fairytale. How? Well, I would say start with one thing that you absolutely enjoy like painting, drawing, or dancing. Take out like 10 minutes every day and enjoy that one thing that your heart craves. Do it at the exact same time every day with no one around you. It's like your secret. This will help you to find one good place in disguise. Then I would suggest you start reading fiction and pretend that you are the main character. While reading the book, seriously take the effort to forget your toxic environment and live in the world of fiction. Genuinely consider it as if you have the magical power to shift the world without anyone's knowledge.
