“If you don’t say No to things that don’t matter, you will say No to the ones that do matter”

When I was in college, I wanted to live a life worth remembering. I wanted to climb the corporate ladder, wear business suits, travel for work purposes, be a part of important meetings and show the world how influential I am.

But all these dreams weren’t mine. I picked the cherries from the movies and books, and what I was expected to achieve.

During my first job, I realized one thing that I never dreamt of doing a job. It was something I accepted from the external world. In fact, why would I study hard for 21 years just for a job that extracts every bit of energy from me? I quit. Then I started doing another job and leave that one after around 4 months.

At first, I thought, I was lazy but I realized the job wasn’t for me. I am not saying doing a job is a good or bad thing. Of course, it’s an individual choice. At first, I was quite disappointed. Because I had worked really hard to get those jobs. I was dreaming of enjoying the corporate world. But my imagination didn’t match my reality and I was left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied.

And that brings me back to what I want to tell you today:
