How My Diary Helped Me Become an Inward Person & Silence the Chattering of My Mind

I always wanted someone to listen to me with all the attention and no judgment. I never longed for advice, but I wished for the kind of best friend we see in movies/books. A friend you can go to whenever a strong tsunami builds up inside you — a best friend who can listen to you and comfort you afterward.

Well, guess what? I found just the kind of best friend a few months back (in the initial months of 2022) The only difference was my best friend wasn’t a living breathing person but rather a diary.

Now before you feel bad for me and go all ‘aww, poor Renuka!’ Let me clarify that my best friend and I are quite happy with each other, no strings attached.

To give you a little background of what I am talking about, allow me to take you on the journey of the most confused girl on this planet who could never understand what’s going on inside her. Yes, I am talking about myself. So, shall we?

Unlike today, I was quite an external person aka always needed advice and support from others to guide me and help me make better decisions. I would feel lost whenever a bunch of emotions started jumping inside me altogether. I would feel anxious and overwhelmed like I might throw up if someone (anyone at all) would question or commented on…
