Don’t you all want to achieve your goals? It could be losing weight for me or studying 3 extra hours for you. But let’s accept it that no matter what we want to achieve, procrastination takes the lead. And that is why even after wanting those 6 packs desperately, I don’t go to gym and you don’t study for your exams to score good marks. Well, let’s dig deeper into why procrastination wins and how you can achieve everything you want by building willpower.
One of the key reasons why people procrastinate over their goals is because they don’t have control over their desires, like watching Netflix, surfing the internet or simply lying down on the bed. The harsh truth is no one wants to procrastinate and people hate it when they end up wasting their time on Netflix or any other meaningless activity. The reason behind this is quite simple and that is when you choose Netflix over reading, you enjoy it. It’s like an instant gratification that makes you feel good but at the end of the day/month/year, you regret wasting your time. You regret why the hell you didn’t get out of the bed to hit the gym.
