How To Develop Strong Self-Discipline
Last year, I watched a power-packed motivational video and I decided that I want to build self-discipline. I was feeling so motivated after watching the video that I could have even climbed Mount Everest. Hahah, jokes apart. I was all set to conquer the world but after a few days, the addiction of that video evaporated and so did my self-discipline. In short, I felt motivated so I started the process of self-discipline. I tried to be disciplined for a few days but after that discipline started feeling like a cage and I erased the word, discipline from my life. Isn’t it sounding relatable to you? I am sure it does because that is what happens with most of us.
We start doing anything big like discipline out of pure motivation but as that motivation comes from external factors, it soon vanishes away, hence we never complete what we started. Because our dose of motivation is finished.
That’s the core reason why people are not able to build self-discipline. Now the question is how to build self-discipline that lasts longer and doesn’t feel like a cage. Honestly, I was in this hunt too from the past few months. I read a few blogs too but almost every blog talks about similar things. Those blogs talk about how to build discipline but with the help of external factors. You can see the image below:
