I Am Happy to Not Be Happy

Okay, I get it. You don’t want small talk, you want me to explain the title and give you some ‘gyan’ aka knowledge. Right?
Well, then let’s jump on it.
You must be wondering how can someone be happy without being happy or is it just a cool title to grab your attention? Rest assured, I wouldn’t waste your time or make you feel motivated.
I want to discuss why trying to be happy is actually becoming one of the biggest reasons for our unhappiness.
If you are living in a social media world (which you are), you must have seen those titles that claim ‘how to be happy all the time with this one habit’ or ‘5 books to help you find happiness’ or ‘5 reasons why you are not happy’ and blah blah shit.
The problem with all of these videos and books which inspire you to be happy is that happiness is not a milestone that you can achieve with certain hacks. Happiness is a feeling. And even though I want to stretch this blog long, here is the deal in the simplest words,
‘Happiness comes and goes like any other emotion. The need to chase happiness is what stops you from experiencing what the present moment has to offer you’
