Do you know what is the key problem of the self-improvement industry?

Once a person introduces a good concept, everyone starts making videos or writing books about it. For example, you will find these things in every self-help book/YouTube video:

  • Get up early
  • Take a cold shower
  • Make your bed
  • Drink water
  • Exercise
  • Have a healthy breakfast (notice how the majority of the YouTubers have a cute white bowl in which they have colorful fruits as their morning breakfast)
  • Meditate and many more tips and tricks like this.

And OPPS! How can I forget about one technique that is everyone’s favorite? Yes, you guessed it right. It’s making a gratitude list.

To give you a little background, every book or video starts something like this,

‘My life sucked. I took everything for granted. I used to complain about everything. But one day, I realized instead of focusing on what I don’t have, I can be grateful for what I have. And now look at me, how happy I am’
