What Happens When You Don’t Take ‘Planning’ Life Seriously; My 2023 Year Reflection

Tell me, how was your 2023?

When I ask ‘how’, I know so many people will probably take a pause and think about all the things they were able to achieve and all the dreams that died inside their minds. All the goals that were left unnoticed in your journal and all the habits that you still need to adopt.

And if I go a little further to ask ‘What’s your plan for 2024?’

The answer would be pretty much the same. You and I prepare a big list of goals to achieve even before the year starts. More goals, more new habits, the desire to invent the new ‘ME’, and to take over the world.

What makes me laugh is that this cycle is endless. Every year you repeat the same process until you forget about the new resolutions, and the motivation to build those extra 5 habits evaporates into thick winter air.

The only people who benefit from this cycle are journal & diary sellers.

However, the question is — why am I roasting this concept of planning the new year?
