What It Takes to be an Author; Real-Life Unfiltered Version

Wow!! You are a published author!!

I get this a lot. And every time, I mutter in my head, ‘Well, it’s not WOW all the time’

Honestly speaking, I am an extreme introvert. As a child, I wanted friends, and people to pay attention to me but I never really fit in with the cool kids. So, I learned to hide until I completely feel comfortable.

I don’t need sympathy or an ‘awww’ reaction, please. One of the things that I love about myself is that ‘when I am with my people (who I love), I will laugh, love, and have fun’ but mostly, I like to remain unnoticed.

I like it when I just exist without trying to smile or look good for others. I like it when I can be all by myself doing my own stuff without people coming to me.

It’s not egoistic nor it is a sad life. It’s just who I am and how I like to live my life.

Perhaps, introverts or rather certain writers can understand me better in that regard.

Though what’s great about is that, my seemingly loner life helps me to observe things a little more. It helps me think about the things that make me excited and read my own thoughts like I have an interesting book in my hands. Perhaps, that’s what helps me write on topics that my readers, you, enjoy.
