Who Are You? Think & You Shall Never Know; You Don’t Know Yourself YET
If I ask you to talk about YOU for 5 minutes, would you be able to do that? And the only rule of the game is you cannot use any external tags that you have accumulated from the external world.
You cannot start your speech with, Hi My name is — — I am a — — I live in — — I have done my schooling from — — My parents name are— — and I am in love with this beautiful person — — oh yeah and I am a wife of — -
Because all of this is not you. You were still you before you got married to the love of your life. You were still you before you did your schooling from XYZ school and you were still you before you got a name, religion and other tags from the external world. You will be you even after everything is taken away from you.
So, again WHO ARE YOU?
If not the external tags then maybe you are your thoughts. We all think different things. We all have different perceptions about the same things. Now, that sounds like a logical bet, right? We are what our thoughts. Since your and mine thoughts are different and unique in our own ways (obviously, each one of us are artists in overthinking). Hence, our thoughts make us unique and different from each other which means our identity is our thoughts.
