Why I Became a Minimalist & How It Improved the Quality of My Life
I am in my early 20s. Yes, I know I should probably go out there, have fun, attend parties with dresses and heels that are uncomfortable and if possible have a boyfriend who I consider my whole world.
But here I am. On a Monday morning writing this article about minimalism.
The question is WHY?
Because to me, Minimalism is not about cutting down on everything and living with the bare minimum. To me, minimalism is about intentionally choosing the life you want to live and courageously rejecting everything that doesn’t align with it.
To give you a little background, back when I was still in college, I went to buy a facewash with my friends. I used to use soap before that. Embarrassing to admit. I didn’t know which facewash is best or why am I even buying it. But apparently, a fully grown-up woman is supposed to have a skincare routine so I found myself in a cute shop.
I went inside and wow! I was so nervous looking at all those products. I asked for a facewash and the girl behind the counter said, ‘Mam, facewash section is there. Help yourself.’
